About Brittney:

There may be no better way to understand who Brittney was than to read her Small Dreams blog, in which she wrote about the people, places and dreams that shaped her life. As her family and close friends, we often reread her entries about everyday life and get the sense that she is still speaking to us, sharing her honest aspirations, newest project, or light-hearted sentiments about what the future may hold. Brittney touched so many people’s lives and it is our goal to help her to continue to inspire others.

Always excited about her next life adventure…Brittney was unbelievably positive, a quality that was constantly on display. She had an unforgettable smile that made everyone around her happier. You didn’t have to spend long with her to realize she had a huge, caring heart. She was an amazing and dear friend whose friendship made you feel like you were doing something right in this world.

Brittney described herself as a dabbler and rightfully so. She was an explorer of the world who was constantly looking for a new hobby. From DIY furniture remodels and decorating to photography classes to cooking and joining the local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) to wine and beer tasting, she was always searching to learn something new and exciting. As an adamant recycler, Brittney based many of her hobbies around sustainable practices. She was a strong supporter of local businesses, eco-friendly practices, and an advocate for organic, locally farm raised food sources.

While we continue to mourn our loss, we also continue to realize more and more just how much we learned from Brittney and how she will always touch our lives. We hope to inspire others by supporting and promoting the ideals and values that shaped Brittney’s life. Brittney Fox Watts was a special, special person in this world and we will do our best work to keep her free spirit and beautiful soul alive by honoring her small dreams with great love.
